Is BritBox Free With Amazon Prime?

As of now, BritBox is not free with Amazon Prime. However, all eligible Prime members stand a chance to get a 7-day free trial when they start their BritBox subscription for the first time.

BritBox is an add-on subscription and will cost you an extra £5.99/month in the UK and $7.99/month in the US, on top of your Prime Subscription after the free trial period.

You can cancel your subscription at any time and you will not be charged at all if you cancel before your free trial ends.

Please note that to start the Amazon BritBox free trial or the paid subscription through Amazon Prime, you must already have an eligible Prime membership. You are eligible if you are subscribed to any of the following membership plans:

  • 30-day Prime Student free trial

How to Cancel Amazon BritBox Free Trial?

At the end of your free trial, you will automatically be subscribed to BritBox’s monthly paid membership. However, if you do not wish to continue with the service, you can cancel it anytime.

To cancel your Amazon BritBox free trial, simply log into your Prime Video account and go to Manage Your Prime Video Channels. You’ll see all your active channel subscriptions, as well as subscription price and renewal date on this page.

Look under ‘Actions’ and click on ‘Cancel Channel’ corresponding to ‘BritBox’ and then confirm it.

Once you cancel, the renewal date of your BritBox subscription becomes the end date, and you’ll no longer be charged. However, you can continue to access the Channel through Prime Video up until the end date even after you cancel the free trial or paid membership.

  1. Started a Britbox trial and the first 4 days so far have not been able to play a single show other than the front page and the britbox logo!? Doesn’t sell the app esp not worth Paying for as nothing works on it! Frustrating as only plqcevto see classic old skool prog’s from my youth… Argh!!!
