Amazon Prime audiobooks are basically the list of free Audible books that are available for Prime members. The members get access to a rotating selection of more than 50 audiobooks which they can listen to by streaming online.
However, the Prime members do not have any control over which Audiobooks will be available as Amazon Prime free Audiobooks. The titles are selected by Audible itself and are changed from time to time on a rotation basis.

Unfortunately, the free Audible books for Amazon Prime members cannot be downloaded in any device. You will have to listen to them by streaming online using the Internet.
For offline listening, you need to have an Audible membership. You can take Audible’s 30-day free trial, and get 1 free Audiobook of your choice, provided you have not taken the free trial before. You can cancel your membership anytime and you will not be charged during the free trial!

How to access Amazon Prime Audiobooks?
Currently, there are 57 Amazon Prime audiobooks available for the Prime members. But the problem is that it is not very clear on how you can access those free books. Besides, you can listen to them only through the Audible app and not on the Audible website.
To get access to Amazon Prime free Audiobooks, first, download the Audible App and log in using your Amazon details. And of course, you need to be an Amazon Prime member to access these free Audible books.
After you log in to your Audible App, click on the menu icon on the upper left corner of the home screen. (The example shown below is for Android. The interface may look different in iOS devices)
Now, click on ‘Channels for Prime’.
Here you can browse all the Audio Shows.
Please Note that ‘Channels for Prime’ option won’t show up if you are an existing Audible member! Instead, you will see ‘Originals’ as shown below, which has a collection of Audible Originals and are different from Audible channels.
In the Channels for Prime page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on ‘Audiobook Collection’ as shown below.
You will land on the page showing different categories of books and each of the audiobooks under these categories are free for Amazon Prime members!
Choose a category and press the play button to start listening to any book in that category!

It can’t be right that members of Audible are not given access to free Prime books but non-members are! It’s as if we have that privilege removed because we support Audible? Anyone figure out a fix?
What happens if you are in the middle of a book and the book choices change. Is there a set day each month that books change
Hi Laurel. The books don’t change that often. Most of the books have not changed for over a year now. However, there is no fixed day for that to happen. It is very much possible that the book you are listening to today, might change tomorrow! But the probability is very low. I hope that helps!

I had all these channels and audiobooks as a prime member, but as soon as i became an audible member, the audiobooks/channels were gone! I’ve let audible know about this and they will get back to me tomorrow.

Yes, Amin. You are right. I have mentioned that in the article as well, that the option for Audible channel for Prime won’t show up if you are an Audible member!
So, you can try listening to the free books first before subscribing to Audible membership.
Did you get a fix to this? I would have never signed up for the trial if I knew this would be the outcome.
Not exactly a fix, but here’s what you can try if you do not wish to start a paid membership:
Start your free trial, get the 2 audiobooks of your choice and then cancel your membership. Once you cancel your membership, you will again start seeing the Audible for Prime option (you are still a prime member). But now, apart from the free prime audiobooks, you will see those two audiobooks in your library. (Yes, those books will be there for lifetime unless you delete them)
